Carolyn Jean Brinson Carr, age 63, died Thursday, February 20, 2014.

She was born in Jenkins County, but lived most of her adult life in Augusta. She was a retired executive with the Central Savannah River Council of the Girl Scouts of America and was a devoted founding member of the Mosaic United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Caroline C. (Charles) Latham; a granddaughter, Sara Alison Latham; three brothers, Buck (Gina) Brinson, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Andy (Nancy) Brinson, and Phil (Freda) Brinson, both of Millen; and a sister, Sally (Ralph) Crowe of Millen.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday at Mosaic United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolyn Moore officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 pm at Fair Haven United Methodist Church Cemetery near Millen.

Visitation will be Monday at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
