James B. Lanier Sr. 78, was called to his Heavenly Home unexpectedly on Thursday July 14, 2022.

He was born in Statesboro Georgia on November 06, 1943 to Maebelle H, and Jesse L. Lanier. James was a graduate from Jenkins County High School. He was called up to join the United States Army Reserves/Active Duty as a Cook/Gunner during the years of 1964 through 1970. James found his passion as a Carpenter and later became a member of many of the local Union Halls. As the bible states In Psalms 34:18 "In My Father's House There Are Many Rooms". He was always willing to help others. Teaching his children a work ethic like so few understand today, along with many valuable lessons throughout his life.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents, Maebelle H and Jesse L Lanier, by his brothers Douglas Lanier and Relferd Lanier, and his children Belinda Lanier and Felicia Daughtry Burns.

Visitation will be held at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home Located at 364 E Winthrope Ave Millen GA 30442 on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Funeral will be held at Elam Baptist Church located at 5199 Elam Road Millen GA 30442 on Thursday July28, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jody Bryant officiating accompanied by military honors.

Survivors include 4 Sons, 2 Daughters. Children are:  James B Lanier Jr, John D. Lanier( Cindy), Jessica L. Arms, Charles A Lanier ( Ashlie), Mason C. Lanier ( Jillian), Megan Q. McGee ( Darren) and 16 Grandkids.
