James Albert Landing, age 91, passed away on October 9, 2025 at Pruitt Health Bethany in Millen.

A native of Jenkins County, James was a US Navy veteran and retired from Penske Co.  Everyone who knew him knew that he loved working on lawn mowers and would bring theirs to him for repair. He enjoyed doing it and never charged for his services.  He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Hammock Landing and a sister, Lue Ree Saxon.

He is survived by his stepsons, Tony E. Flakes Sr., Tim Flakes and Cecil Wayne Flakes; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and his two favorite daughters, Gwen Flakes and Tina Flakes.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
