Mr. James E. Johnson, age 90, died, Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Pruitt Bethany Nursing Center after an extended illness.

He was born in Emanuel County, August 15, 1929. He was a welder and had retired as a supervisor from EMCO Metal Products in Twin City. Mr. Johnson was a faithful member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and was a deacon for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Lanier Johnson.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Graham officiating.

The Family will receive friends at the residence.

He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bunny Johnson of Millen; three granddaughters; Tabatha (Jamie) Bennett of Garfield, Monica (Chris) Broxton of Millen, and Tiffany Johnson of Millen; and seven great grandchildren, Tristan & Abby Bennett of Garfield, Colby & Paul Broxton, Parks, Porter, and Ella Adams of Millen; and many nieces and nephews.
