James "Jimmy" Busby died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at University Hospital after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Washington, DC, had played professional baseball for the Pittsburg Pirates, was a water treatment specialist for the city of North Augusta and was a Christian.

Jimmy loved his children dearly, was an avid hunter and could always be found at the baseball field watching his son play the game he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, James "Jim" Busby.

Family will receive friends Wednesday starting at 6:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in Millen.

Survivors include his wife, Kristin Busby of Grovetown; 3 sons, Cameron Busby and Carson Busby of Grovetown, and James Busby of McIntire; a daughter, Jamie Busby of Leesburg, FL; his mother, Marie Busby of Millen; a sister, Dale Wagner (John) of Millen and half-sister, Vicky Murphy of Leesburg, FL.
