Ivey Bernard McMillan, age 82, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026 at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, GA. He was born June 29, 1943 to Ralph Emerson McMillan and Grace Rabitsch McMillan.

Ivey was a 1963 graduate of Jenkins County High School where he played football and ran track. He attended Augusta Technical School and graduated in 1966 with a degree in radio repair and electronics technology. He was a Texaco distributor and owner of McMillan Oil Co. He also owned McMillan's TV Repair, McMillan's Sav-A-Dolla and McMillan's Service Station at one time and served on the Millen City Council for 28 years. In addition, he was past president of the Millen Rotary Club and Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce. He also served as Blood Service Chairman for many years. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and an associate member of Fair Haven Church.

Ivey was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Emerson McMillan, Wayne McMillan and Bill McMillan.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Acton McMillan; his daughter Shannon McMillan Harrington (Michael); 2 granddaughters, Elizabeth Acton (Ella) Harrington and Virginia Carroll Harrington; sisters, Kim Wasden (Bill) and Karen Washburn (Ron); nieces, Carla Bray (Dennis), Grace McLamb (Raymond), Stacey Royal (Stephen) and nephew, Mitchell McMillan (Lauren).

Visitation will begin at 12:15 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Fair Haven Church with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Jose Velasquez and Rick Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Millen Cemetery.
