Mrs. Irma Hawes Chance, age 88, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her resident.

She was born in Burke County, a retired Post Master of the Perkins Post Office, and a member of the Habersham United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. "Bobby" Chance.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the Habersham United Methodist Church with the Revs. Larry Bird and Sue Diebolt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her sister, Bernice (Byron) Newton of Perkins; 2 brothers, Milner (Frances) Hawes of Perkins and Jesse (T'Llene) Hawes of Cayce, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Active Pallbearers will be Jake Newton, Drew Newton, Timmy Weaver, Gary Hawes, Bruce Hawes, and David Hawes.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
