Mrs. Helen Boone Spence, age 97, died, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Pruitt Bethany.

She was born in Jenkins County, a retired seamstress for Thompson Company, and was a member of the Elam Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Spence and son, Theodore Wesley Ted Godbee.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a. m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Elam Cemetery with John Paul Hearn officiating.

Survivors include her children, Dewey Lane (Pam) of Statesboro and daughter-in-law, Marcia Godbee of Millen, a sister, Anne Laura Crapps of Charleston, SC, 2 grandchildren Kimbralee Leader and Kaitlyn Lane and 2 great grandchildren, Jacqueline Leader and Bodie Lane.
