Obituary

Mr. Harry Glenn Dwelle, age 85, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Georgia Health Sciences Hospital.

He was born in Screven County January 2, 1927 but had lived in Jenkins County since 1938. He graduated Millen High School in 1944 where he played on the 1943 State Championship football team. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, retired from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. in 1987 after 30 years, and was a Deacon of the Millen Baptist Church where he was a member of the Boch Sunday School Class.
Mr. Dwelle was also a charter member and past president of the Magnolia Country Club and the Jenkins County Jaycees, and was a former member of the Millen Rotary Club and Millen Lions Club. He was also a member of the 8 O'clock Coffee Club, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, golf, and attending football games. He dearly loved his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Millen Baptist Church with Dr. Milton Dwelle and Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie C. Dwelle of Millen; a daughter, Jenny Dwelle of Sandy Springs; a sister, Marion Reeves of Millen; 2 brothers, Dr. Milton Dwelle of Douglasville and Robert G. Dwelle of Millen.

Active Pallbearers will be Mike Reeves, Hoke Reeves Jr., Bob Dwelle, King Rocker, Terry Carswell, Rufus Small, Richard Parker, and Jimmie Edenfield.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the 8 O'clock Coffee Club, Deacons of Millen Baptist Church, and the Boch Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
