Guinnell Richardson Thompson, 86, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.
Born in Reidsville, she lived in Millen for most of her life. She was a retired plant clerk for Bellsouth, and she was a member of Millen Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh N. Thompson, and her son, Claude Benjamin Thompson.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Pansy T. Gay (Will); 1 daughter-in-law, Robin Thompson Czech of Statesboro; 4 grandchildren, Will Gay, III (Amanda), Emily Gay, Gracie Thompson, and Caleb Thompson; 1 sister, Jewel Hall of Dublin; 3 brothers, Jimmy Richardson (Joann) of Waynesboro, Eddie Richardson (Catherine) of Darien, and Jerry Richardson (Vickie) of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend and companion, Edward Wilson.
The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Elam Baptist Church with Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial will follow in Elam Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until the funeral hour at Elam Baptist Church.
Active Pallbearers are Johnny Hall, Shane Richardson, Jimmy Richardson, William Canady, Kenneth Canady, Jesse Hall, and Frankie Joyner.
