Obituary

Eastman, GA. Mrs. Grace Joyner Lewis Dailey, 97, of Eastman went home to be with her Lord on Monday August 29, 2011.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Millen Baptist Church, with Dr. Gary Lewis and Dr. Maurice Crowder officiating. Burial will be in the Millen Cemetery immediately following.
The daughter of the late James Tel and Candace Parker Joyner, Mrs. Dailey, a native of Screven County, resided most of her life in Jenkins County, but spent the late years of her life in Eastman, GA. Mrs. Dailey devoted her life to the care of her family and served faithfully in her church, Millen Baptist, where she joined in 1935. She was a member of the Anita Tinley Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Dailey was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward
Eugene Lewis, Sr. and Elmo Gordon Dailey, Sr.; a son, Gordon Dailey, Jr.; and an infant daughter, Leah F. Lewis.
She was survived by 3 sons: Edward E. Lewis, Jr. (Becky), Gainesville; J. Kenneth Lewis (Jan), Cumming; Richard H. Dailey, Sr., (Sharon), Eastman; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at Crowe Fields Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31, 2011.
