Mr. Glover Kent Lane, 72, died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at University Hospital.

He was born in Jenkins County, a retired Inspector for the Georgia Department of Agriculture, and was a member of the Rosemary Baptist Church. Glover was also active and past President of both the Georgia State Fox Hunters Assoc., and the Ogeechee River Fox Hunters Assoc and member of Screven Lodge #248 F&AM.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Elam Baptist Church with Revs. David Mullins, Butch Taylor and Trent Beaulinue officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Steven Fields, Charlie Waters, Chad Waters, Randy Lane, Don Burke, Richard McNeely, Tim Fields, and Richard Lane.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Fox Hunters and Masonic Brothers.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mary Jo Hulsey Lane; two daughters, Debbie (Tony) Cooper of Statesboro and Tammie (Anthony) Cowart of Millen; four grandchildren, Justin Cooper, Zack Cowart, Mary Beth Cowart, and Amy Lane Cooper.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
