Gloria McBride Becton, 77, of Millen, Georgia entered into rest on July 22, 2013 after a brief illness.

Gloria was born on November 11, 1935 in Screven County Georgia to the late George and Maud McBride. She was retired from Thompson Manufacturing Company and Millen Sportswear. She was a faithful member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and the Golden Girls Sunday School Class.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Dean Becton and older sister Lorine (Top) Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter Donna Becton McMillan; two granddaughters Stephanie McMillan and Kimberly McMillan Neville (Rawls); two great-grandchildren Tyler and Kennedy; and siblings, Jewell Becton, Ottis McBride (Jeanette), Alton McBride (Mildred), Arnold McBride, Barbara Speering (Randy), Faye Montgomery (Richard), Gail Ramsey (Holmes), Wanda McBride, Jerry McBride and many nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be: F.A. Black, Alex Bragg, Pete Dailey, Mike Hall, Jerry Jenkins, and David McMillan.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Golden Girls Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23rd at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24th at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Revs. Jamie Archer, Tommy Pulliam and Dan Zellner officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, the family request donations be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
