Georgia Newton Davidson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1931 to Fred and Dora Mynatt in Statesville, N.C. She was a resident of Jenkins County, Georgia. 

She was a beloved mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all. She was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church in Perkins, GA. 

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Dora Mynatt; her husband of 32 years, Jack C. Newton, Jr., her husband of 26 years, Lloyd D. Davidson and her brother, Leon Mynatt.

She is survived by her daughters, Jan Newton Holt and Jennie Newton Williams of Millen, Cindy Newton Lane (Ray) of Girard and her son, John C. Newton of Millen; 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Norman Williams, John Paul Newton, Rex Dailey, Dallon Dailey, Brad Wright and Josh Meister. Honorary pallbearers will be Nox Williams, North Williams, Jake Epstein, John McBride and Pablo DeLeCruz.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Magnolia Baptist Church in Perkins, GA. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
