Mr. Freddie Lee Rachels, Jr., 59, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his residence following a long illness.

He was born in Statesboro, was a retired farmer, trucker and restaurant owner.

He was preceded in death by his mother Catherine Garvin, father, Freddie Lee Rahels, Sr.; a brother Allen Rachels and sisters, Rosemary Rachels, and Betty Jean Sellers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Ely officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Liz Rachels; a daughter, Catherine Rachels Slater (Travis); 2 sons, Freddie Lee Rachels, III (Hannah) and Raven Lee Rachels all of Midville; a sister, Marie Lane (Craig) of Twin City; brothers, Glen Wilkerson (Carveta) of Waynesboro, Roy Rachels (Donna) of Swainsboro, and Greg Sellers of Cartersville; stepfather, Glen Garvin of Twin City; and 4 grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers will be Paul Hershey, Dennis Davis, Dick Hammond, Charlie Lanier, Charlie Lairsey, Lamar Rachels, Dillon Slater, Cody Rachels, Jones Lane, and Danny Lane.
