On May 14, 2025, Mrs. Faye Hughes James, age 96, of Millen, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, GA surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Faye loved gardening, sewing, crafting and spending time with her many grands, great-grands and great-great grands.  She worked at Jockey International for many years until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John James Sr.; her three sons, Johnny James, Bubba James and Billy Joe James; one brother and three sisters.

Mrs. Faye leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Ann James of Millen and Angel James of Tennessee; one brother, Paul Hughes; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at Pruitt Health Bethany for their care of Mrs. Faye.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Jeremy Lindsey officiating.
