Mrs. Ethel Rhodes Daughtry, age 95, of Waynesboro, Georgia died March 13, 2024 in Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness.  She was a native of Millen and spent untold hours there.  She retired from Perfection-Schwank after many years of loyal service. Mrs. Daughtry was admired by all who knew her.  She was a kind and giving person who served others without ever expecting anything in return.  She was a care-giver to her loved ones during any times of need.  Mrs. Daughtry was known as a true Southern lady who loved to work outside as well as to cook for her family.  She was an active and independent person who always put others first.

Mrs. Daughtry was preceded in death by her spouse, Ward L Daughtry, her parents Ellis and Edith Rhodes, and her brothers, Paul Rhodes, Travis Rhodes, and Marlin Rhodes.

The funeral service will be held Monday, March 18th at 11:00 a.m. at Ellis Chapel Methodist Church in Sylvania The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro.

She is loved and survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including Heather Moore (Matt) of Vidalia.
