She was a native of Jenkins County, but lived in Screven County. She was a homemaker and a member of Big Horse Creek Baptist Church.
She had a long love for music and her smile could light up an entire room, she was stern and strong, and beautiful inside and out. She was our rock, with a laugh as big as a mountain yet soft as a feather.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivey D. and Hattie Bell Williams, her loving husband Herman E. Hickman and 3 loving brothers, and 3 loving sisters, and special friend Clara Zeigler.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Millen Cemetery.
Her 5 children, Jimmy D. Brown (Brenda) of Metter, Joey Brown of Rocky Ford, Lonnie Suggs Jr. of Millen, Beverly Suggs Rabitsch (Bo) of Sylvania, and Troy Suggs (Janet) of Milledgeville; and a brother, Otis Williams of Albuquerque NM; 12 grandchildren, Jamie Wayne Brown, Jessica Dawn Brown, Wesley Joe Brown, Jacob Tyler Brown, Jessica LuAnn Brown, Shelley Renee Flakes, Lonnie Dustin Suggs, Brandie Jo Taylor (Stewart), Bobbie Jo Cunningham, Travis Daniel Suggs, Sarah Lynne Suggs, Zachary Shane Suggs, and 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; and 2 special friends, Richard Owens and Joyce Burke.
