Emerson Lee McMillan, age 77, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
He was the son of the late Ralph Emerson and Grace Rabitsch McMillan.
He was a devoted husband, father, and lifelong resident of Jenkins County. His strong work ethic and passion for business led him to the successful ownership and operation of multiple small business operations including McMillan Service Station and Whites Home and Auto. He was a newspaper distributor for the Savannah Morning News and was a member of the Elam Baptist Church.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday, October 7th 2016 at the Elam Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Aaron McMillan; his daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Dennis Bray of Winter Springs, FL; two brothers, Ivey McMillan (Mary) and Bill McMillan of Millen; two sisters, Kim McMillan Wasden (Bill) of Millen and Karen McMillan Washburn (Ron) of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.
Active Pallbearers will be Rayburn Johnson, Roger Brinson, Mark Schwonke, David Adams, Johnny Strickland, Mitchell McMillan, Raymond McLamb, Henry Young, and Bill Wasden.
