Mrs. Elizabeth W. "Bill" Lanier, age 92, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born near Chattanooga, TN, she met her husband H. Marvin Lanier in Charleston, SC. She was a homemaker, and member of Elam Baptist Church.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday at Elam Baptist Church with Revs. Perry Hearn and Bill Hammond officiating. Visitation will start one hour prior to the service at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (Charlie) Dempsey of Millen; a son, Dennis (Helen) Lanier of Columbia, SC; 4 grandchildren, Hardy M. Lanier, Cindy (Eric) Simms, J. D. (Shannon) Dempsey, Chuck (Dina) Dempsey, and Nikki Lanier; 8 great grandchildren, Sara Gay, Aaron, Hannah, Noah, Lily, Cole, Ty Simms, and Shelby Pope; and 2 great great grandchildren; a Special Caregiver of 5 years, Claudia Jordan and other special care givers, Lueavita Sweat, Barbara Graham, and Anne Newton.

She was preceded in death by her husband H. Marvin Lanier, and grandson Samuel Simms.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
