Mrs. Edna Bland Hodges, 89, died Friday, January 06, 2012 at Optim Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian Otis and Annie Mae Bland.
She was born in Candler County, retired from the Regions Bank, and was a devoted member of the Millen United Methodist Church where she was active in the Joy Circle, the Morning Sunshine Circle, and the Beulah Garner Sunday School Class. Edna was also a member of the Azalea Garden Club.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Millen United Methodist Church with Revs. Bernie Khaw and Christy Bandy officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Sam Tostensen, Tad Tostensen, Landrum Hodges Jr., Robbie Hodges Jr, Robert Brown, Dr. Craig McCready, Roy Cook, and J. R. Schwonke.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Eight O'clock Coffee Club and Bobby Dwelle.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sadly missed. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Andy Hodges, Sr.; a daughter, Karen (Sammy) Tostensen of Brunswick; a son, Andy (Pam) Hodges, Jr. of Dacula; four grandchildren, Stacy Hodges Brown, Brianna Hodges McCready, Sam Tostensen, and Tad Tostensen and two great grandchildren, Kathryn and Madison Brown.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
