Mr. Douglas Wayne Flakes, Sr., age 58, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro.
He was born in Burke County, retired mechanic for Brady's Tire Repair and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Nellie Flakes, and brothers, Lester Flakes and Raymond Flakes.

Visitation will start at 6:00 p. m. with Memorial Services at 7:30 p. m. Thursday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.

Survivors include his sons, Douglas (DJ) Flakes, Jr. of Waynesboro, Thomas Flakes of Millen; a daughter, KaSara Flakes of Sandersville; 3 sisters, Janet Driggers of Statesboro, Virginia Clarke (Arnold), and Debra Flakes of Millen; a brother, David Flakes (Patricia) of Waynesboro; and 10 grandchildren.
