Dorothy Newsome White of Millen, Georgia, born April 28, 1922, entered into rest on Friday, March 8, 2013 after an extended illness.
A native of Bulloch County, Mrs. White was a homemaker and member of Elam Baptist Church.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh Webster White in 2008, and son, Jeffery Stuart White, in 1996.

Funeral services will be at 4:15 p. m. Sunday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with Revs. Franklin Sasser and Kevin Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Baptist Church cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Jason White, Matthew Holton, David Waters, Kenneth Waters, Justin Waters, and Darron Waters.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon White Holton and her husband Glynn of Statesboro; her son Raleigh Stephen White and his wife Wanda of Sardis; her daughter-in-law, Jimmie Faye White of Millen; five grandchildren, Kelly Holton of Decatur, Matthew Glynn Holton of Atlanta, Erin White Elrod of Rome, Jason Raleigh White of Grovetown, and Melissa White of Millen; and nephew, Joel Waters of Ellabell.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p. m. until 4:15 p. m. at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home on Sunday.
