Dorothy Ann Blackburn passed away peacefully on May 28, 2019, surrounded by her family at the Estelle House of Hospice of Marion County Florida.

Dorothy was born in Millen Georgia on July 21, 1945. She lived in Sardis Georgia for 40 years and the past 18 years in Ocala Florida with her mother and sister.

Dorothy was a special gift from God to her family. She was a happy and kind person. She always had a beautiful smile. In her earlier years she enjoyed singing, reading her bible and going to church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Henry Blackburn and her sister, Racheal Jenkins Wilkerson.

Visitation will start at 1:00 pm with Funeral service at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 1, at Hurst Baptist Church in Screven County with Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was survived by her mother, Mamie Lou Godbee and sister, Voncille Arban, both of Ocala, Florida. Her three brothers, Dennis Blackburn (Wanda), of Millen Georgia, Robbie Blackburn (Virginia), of Sylvania Georgia and Larry Blackburn (Star), of Sardis Georgia. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
