Doris Beard Landing, age 92, died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Bethany Nursing Center.

She was born in Screven County, a retired inspector for Jockey International, and a member of the Millen United Methodist Church where she attended the Beulah Garner Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Robert Landing.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, September 1st at Millen United Methodist Church, with visitation preceding the service in the parlor from 1:30pm until the funeral hour. Rev. Lee Pettis is officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda L. Burke (Randy); 2 sons, Walter Landing (Carol) and Ray Landing (Elizabeth) of Millen; 1 sister, Edith Pullen of Sylvania; her grandchildren, Joel Landing (Michelle), Jeff Landing (Jessica), Chris Landing (Kim), Nickole Braswell (Clint), Brittany Gay (J.R.), and Blythe Brown; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
