Don Gay, Sr., age 81, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta.

He was born in Jenkins County and is a U.S. Marine veteran.

He was the Auditor for the Phillipino American Association of the CSRA, Manager of Swainsboro and Eastman Airports, and was the Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit Aging Disability Advocacy Group founded by his wife. He was past President of the Swainsboro and Millen Rotary Clubs, and served as a Lieutenant Governor for Rotary District 6920.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Deal and Verna Gay.

Visitation at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the residence, 6250 Elam Rd., Garfield, Ga.

Graveside service 2:00 pm June 22, 2024 at the residence.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Evelyn Langga Gay; children: Tina Gay-Anthon, Wendy Gay, Donnie Arastus Gay Jr., Donnie Arastus Gay III, Donnie Arastus Gay IV, Donnie Arastus Gay V, Desiree Dona Gay; brother: Arnold D. Gay; grandchildren: Nicholas Anthon, Randon Gay, Rayner Gay, Liam Gay, Rylee Gay, Lila Grace Gay, and Deacon Gay.
