Derwin Keith Lee, Sr., age 65, was called home on March 19, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends after months of declining health.  He passed away peacefully at 12:23 pm at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Keith was born in Sylvania, GA on April 26, 1959 to his parents, Shelvy Jean McDaniel and Wilbur Lee.  He grew up in the neighboring town of Millen until he moved to Augusta at 20 years of age.  It was there that he began a long and rewarding career in the automobile business.  Upon leaving the Augusta area, Keith moved to Sylvania and managed Matt Gay Chevrolet for many years prior to purchasing his own dealership back home.  When he returned to Millen, he spent his years as an important part of the community, finding success in owning Keith Lee Chevrolet along with many real estate ventures.  He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all.  He found his relationship with the Lord in his later years and loved his church family.

Keith is survived by his mother, Shelvy Jean McDaniel; brothers, Greg Lee (Susanne), Rodney Lee (Vondesa) and William F. McDaniel, Jr.; sister, Linda McDaniel Cordell (Hal); son, Derwin Lee, Jr. (Sara); daughter, Tiffany Williams (John); grandchildren, Vivienne, Juniper, Johnathan, Phillip and Michael; pastor and best friend, Edwin Taylor and caregiver Elisa Moore.

Keith will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church.  Visitation will take place at the church from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow at Screven Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania, Georgia.
