Daniel Linder, age 40, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022.

Daniel was born on January 26th, 1982 and raised in Millen, GA. He was a graduate of Jenkins County High School. Daniel received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Georgia Southern University, a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Southern University, and a PhD in Biostatistics from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. Daniel was working at Augusta University as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Data Statistics, as well as the Program Director for the Master in Data Science program.

Daniel leaves a long legacy of excellence in teaching, mentorship and research.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Albert and Marjorie Linder of Millen, Ga and Steve Thomas of Millen, GA. As well an uncle, Ashlee Thomas of Millen, Ga.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the funeral hour in the Parlor of Millen United Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am at Millen United Methodist Church with Revs. Edwin Taylor and John Drake officiating. Burial will follow at the Millen Cemetery.

Daniel is survived by his two daughters Cierra (Tyson) Royal, and Cayley Linder both of Millen, GA, as well as one grandson Tyson Joshua Royal.  Daniel was also survived by his parents Daniel (Lynn) Linder of Millen, Ga and Tammy Thomas of Augusta.  Also surviving are Daniel's brother, Josh Linder of Millen, Ga and sister, Mary Linder of Augusta, GA, as well as his grandmother Laura Thomas of Millen, Ga, and fiancé, Yelena Tarasenko of Statesboro, Ga. Daniel also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Active pallbearers are Milton Aspenwall, Danny Burke, Chris Hodges, Perry Royal, Judd Bramblett, Deepesh Solanki, Hunter Kelly, and Stevie Thomas.
