Daisy Beard Clark, 79, wife of David W. Clark, entered into her eternal rest Thursday night, August 22nd, 2019, at her home in Jenkins County.
One of four children born to the late Leon and Eunice Beard, Daisy grew up in Screven County. Upon finishing school, she moved to Millen, GA and worked at Thompson Company and later at Augusta Sportswear of Millen for many years while raising her family and establishing lifelong friendships with those she worked with.
Daisy had a servant's heart, worked diligently, was not self-seeking, uplifted others and put others needs before her own. She had an absolute love for family and enjoyed taking trips to one of her favorite places, Disney World.
Later in life, Daisy gained a love for flower gardening and could often be found enjoying its' beautiful rewards. Daisy was also preceded in death by her Sister, Myrtis Ann Williamson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm until funeral time at 2:00 pm at Elam Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Zac Clark, Spencer Clark, Matthew Clark Newton, Dawson Fields, Bill Jarrett, Chris Beard, Dover Williamson, and Tony Clark.
Survivors include her husband, David Clark of Millen; four children, Brenda Newton (David) of Millen, Wendell Clark (Starr) of Millen, Wanda Killoran (Ronnie) of Augusta, Pat Clark (Rhonda) of Millen; brothers, Issac Beard (Melanie) of Waynesboro, Johnny Beard of Augusta; nine grandchildren, Nichole Thornton (Charlie), Matthew Newton (Alicia), Zac Clark (Kendall), Jessica Gehring (Jim), Spencer Clark (Jamye), Cierra Clark, Sydney Clark, Dawson Fields, J.T. Clark; six great grandchildren, Fletcher Newton, Adley and Lane Thornton, Layla and Jackson Clark, and Ella Mae Gehring.
The Family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elam Baptist Church, 5199 Elam Rd., Millen GA or to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 42040, Oklahoma City OK 73123.
