Mrs. Clyde Jenkins Boone, 86, died Saturday June 29, 2019 at the home of her daughter in Lakeland, Florida.   She was born December 26, 1932 in Perkins, Georgia.  She was the daughter of Pratt L. Jenkins, Sr. and Georgia Elizabeth (Scarboro) Jenkins.  She was member of Habersham United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Boone was a retired Nurse, having worked for 20 years at Bethany Nursing Home, in Millen. She often spoke of working as a waitress, at the Vannoy Restaurant in the railroad station, when she was in high school, of going to dances at Magnolia Springs, and of growing up with family and friends in rural Jenkins County.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday July 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at Habersham United Methodist Church with Dr. Lee Pettis and Rev. Jay Reppert officiating.  Burial will be at the Millen Cemetery.

Mrs. Boone is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Patsy Johnson-Williams (Ken) of Lakeland, Fl.; One son Robert L. Boone (Donna) of Millen, and six grandchildren Christina Johnson Boyce (Damion) of Lakeland, Lisa Marie Losinski (Mickey) of Manhatten, KS; Michael Boone Johnson, of Chicago, IL.; Sheila M. Boone of Savannah; Robert E. Boone of Tallahassee, FL; and Robin E. Boone of Savannah; 10 great-grandchildren; a loving sister Mrs. Murle J. Crapse , of Perkins; and many nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. (Bob) Boone, Jr., her parents, and siblings Emory Jenkins, George S. Jenkins, Vivian P. Hendrix, Pratt L. Jenkins, Jr, James Ray Jenkins, Ruby D. Baxley, and Franklin Jenkins.

Pallbearers will be Robert E. Boone, Michael B. Johnson, Mickey Losinski, Damion Boyce, Kenneth Griffis, and Tommy L. Jenkins.
