Mrs. Christine Hendrix Gay, 89, of Garfield, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

She was born in Bulloch County, worked at Jockey International for many years, was a retired cafe owner and homemaker, and a member of Elam Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Thursday at Elam Baptist Church with Revs. John Parker, J. D. Turner, and Jody Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Robert Gay and Grandson, Michael Paul Gay.

Survivors include her daughter, Latrelle Rocker of Garfield; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ben and Deborah Gay and Harry and Christine Gay both of Garfield and Steve Gay of Florida; a brother, Bobby Hendrix of Portal; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.

Active Pallbearers will be Anthony Cowart, Ronald Gazaway, Rayburn Johnson, Jamie Saunders, Ricky Clifton, Robert Gay, John Proctor, and Tony Gay.
