Lynda Cheryl Adams peacefully went home to join Larry on 12/16/2025 at their residence.  Cheryl was born April 25, 1948 in Augusta, but lived her entire life in Millen.  She graduated Jenkins County High School in 1966, and married her sweetheart later that same year.

She was a retired banker with Queensborough National Bank having worked in the Millen and Sylvania offices. She was a faithful member at Green Fork Baptist Church.  After retirement she enjoyed her grandkids, reading and relaxing at the lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adele Lewis Wheatley and Jack McDonald and her brother Freddy McDonald.

She is survived by her sons, Tommy (Gretchen) Adams of St Simons and Chris (Vicki) Adams of Millen; grandchildren Amber (Tanner) Kent of Sylvania, Rachael (Orrin) Swayze of Atlanta, Hunter (Lauren) Adams of Atlanta and Robert (Amy) Deason of Millen; great grandchildren; Jase Kent, Jane Swayze, Frankie Swayze,  River McLeod, Hance McLeod and Callie McLeod.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Stacey Denison for her compassionate care during this time.

A memorial for Cheryl and Larry is scheduled for 1:00 pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at Green Fork Baptist Church.
