Obituary

Charles Ellis Lairscy has gone to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and his beloved wife Sandra.  He served honorably in the United States Army and was deployed to Vietnam during the Vietnam War.  He was a long-time deacon at Garfield Baptist Church and worked for Dyches Construction in Savannah, GA for many years. If you knew Ellis, you knew he was a hard worker and dedicated family man.  He married his one and only true love, Sandra, on June 11, 1967 and together they had two wonderful daughters, Cindy Michelle and Wendi.

Ellis, who was already a great father, became best "Pa" to all of his grandchildren and a wonderful "Papa" to his great-grandchildren.  In his younger years, he was always known for his baby blue eyes and his jokes- always getting laughs from anyone around.  Ellis and Sandra always found peace and calmness in going to the river and fishing or just enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch.

Ellis leaves behind his daughters, Michelle Lairscy (David Jimenez) of Bloomingdale, GA and Wendi (Brad) Fields of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Anthony (Amber) Earls, Kristi (Mike) Layne, both of Savannah, Rachel Duehring of Garfield, GA, Chris Fields of Savannah, GA and Emily Fields (Jamie Howell) of Rincon, GA; great-grandchildren, Gabreilla and Bella Pitts, Ellis Layne, Amelia and Annabelle Earls, Gavin Fields, Chase Biggans and Ellie Howell who all lit up his world and who will all continue his legacy.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, December 22, 2025 at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Hebron Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
