Obituary

Cecilia Anne Jackson, 79, of Louisville Georgia, passed away on June 1, 2024, at her residence. On September 23, 1944, she was born at Camp Gordon Georgia, daughter of the late Cecil R and Lois Kirkendohl Holton.

She grew up in Jenkins County Georgia where she met and married the love of her life James L Jackson.  They married on December 24, 1964 and moved to Louisville, Georgia where they raised their three sons. Cecilia was a homemaker and her greatest joy was raising her three sons and being the best nanny to her grandchildren.  She loved spending time with all her family, especially her monthly visits with her sister Mary in Statesboro.

In addition to her parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband James L Jackson; her son, David Keith Jackson; and her brothers, Ernest and Sidney T Holton.

She is survived by her sons, Michael Jackson of Louisville, Georgia and Dwayne Jackson (Pam) of Waynesboro, Georgia; her grandchildren, David Jackson (Maci), Carly Lynne Jackson (Kenneth Pierce), Lisa Delaine Jackson (Trevor Reese), Victoria Cowart (Mitchell), Remington Jackson, Redleigh Jackson, and James Dwayne Jackson ll; her great grandchildren, John, Aubree, Drew, and Ivy; her brother Cecil Holton; her sisters Mary Cunningham and Peggy Rollins(Steve); her sister in laws Dorothy Smith and Anne Baxley; along with many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Visitation is Thursday, June 6, from 6-8 pm at Crowe-Fields funeral home in Millen.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Friday June 7, at Dellwood Baptist Church in Swainsboro, Georgia followed by burial in the Millen Cemetery, Millen Georgia with Rev. Joe Bedgood officiating.

Pallbearers will be David Jackson, Lisa Delaine Jackson, Remington Jackson, Casey W Rupp, Jason Fountain, and Steve Rollins.
