Mrs. Catherine Wilkerson Garvin, age 81, of Twin City passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Statesboro, was a homemaker, and member of Twin City Church of God.

She was preceded in death by 3 children, Allen Rachels, Rosemary Rachels, and Betty Jean Sellers.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Twin City Church of God with Revs. Greg Ely and John Woodcock officiating. Burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Glynn Garvin; a daughter, Marie Lane (Craig) of Twin City; sons, Glen Wilkerson (Carveta) of Waynesboro, Roy Rachels (Donna) of Swainsboro, Freddie Lee Rachels (Liz) of Midville, and Greg Sellers of Cartersville; a brother, Robert Wilkerson of Twin City; sisters, Brenda Coleman of Canoochee, Minnie Lanier of Millen, Diane Strickland of Canoochee, Vera Lanier of Swainsboro, and Jean Sheppard of Swainsboro; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Active Pallbearers will be Lamar Rachels, Lee Rachals Jr., Danny Lane, Jones Lane, Raven Rachels, and Travis Slater.

Honorary Pallbearers will be grandsons.
