Ms. Carolyn B. Hargrove, born April 13, 1944, passed away peacefully at her home in Millen Ga on June 8th 2023 after a brief illness.
Carolyn was born in Jenkins County to the late Ralph Hugh Brinson and Maude Brinson. She is a 1962 graduate of Jenkins County High School. Carolyn was a lifelong member of Green Fork Baptist Church where she was active in the Youth Ministry and had an eternal impact on the lives of many children. Carolyn also volunteered as a parenting coach/mentor where she was able to help countless families in Jenkins County. The majority of her professional career was spent as an office manager for the late Dr. A.P. Mulkey and after his retirement she went on to serve in Dr. Kyle Gay's office. After retiring Carolyn continued to assist many of the elderly in Jenkins County with navigating the medical insurance claims process. Also after retiring Carolyn began working as a sitter and helped arrange for other sitters to support elderly people that could no longer live alone. Throughout her personal life and professional career Carolyn was an example of Godly service and sacrifice.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her late husband and the love of her life, Leslie Hargrove Sr, her brother Robert Brinson and her sister Janette Dickey as well as her special friend Harold Moore.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Leslie Hargrove Jr, his wife Jennifer and their two sons Luke and Phillip. Carolyn is also survived by her siblings Betty Alexander, Wayne Brinson (Diane), Arthur Brinson (Mary), Judy Morris, Linda Graham (James), Becky Mateka (Lou), Freddie Brinson, Terry Brinson (Jane), Roger Brinson and Donna Saxon (James Ellis).
Pallbearers are Phil Bainbridge, Arthur Brinson II, Buckley Brinson, Carroll Burke, Russell Keen and Jake Saxon.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 12th, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home with a Graveside Service to be held at Green Fork Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 am with Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen, Ga.
