Mrs. Caroline Brinson Clifton, 82, died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Screven County but had lived in Jenkins County most of her life. She was a retired registrar for Jenkins County Hospital and a member of Scarboro Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Clifton, sister, Juel Waters, brothers, Corree Brinson and Gibb Brinson, and son-in-law, Wally Brazell.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am Friday at Scarboro Baptist Church with funeral service at 11:00 a. m. with Rev. Perry Hearn officiating. Burial will follow in the Clifton Family Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynn B. Hughes and Kate C. Brazell; sisters, Rose Mays and Aurelia Black (F. A.) all of Millen.

Active Pallbearers will be Woody Wilson, Mark Mays, Dennis Small, Dave Waters, and Tyler Brown.

Donations can be made to a local hospice in her memory.
