Betty Joyce Taylor Redd, 86, of Millen was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 15, 2024. Betty was born in Garfield, Georgia, and was an active member of Green Fork Baptist Church, and a retired homemaker.

Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading her Bible daily, and spending free time with her best friend and oldest sister (Thelma). Despite the amount of loss she endured over the years, she remained steadfast in her faith in God and love for her family.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Wilbur Redd, children Wanda Sue Redd, Debra Redd James, and Patricia Redd Daley, grandsons Michael Ray Becton and Clayton Travis Becton, brother Bloyce Taylor, and sisters Mildred Taylor Rabitcsh and Nell Taylor.

Survivors include her only surviving sister Thelma Burke, daughter Charlotte Becton (Danny Ray) of Millen, grandson Johnathon James (Dawn) of Shady Valley, Tennessee, granddaughters Loreal Manuel (Manny) of Walker, Louisiana and Katrina Davis (Kevin) of Millen, who she raised since the age of 7. Great grandchildren include Joshua Becton, Trent Manuel, Reddley Davis, Kennedy Davis, Brayden Manuel, Zakery Storz, Collin Mahala, Sissy Mahala, Tori Powell, Zac Becton, and Zan Becton.

Visitation service will be at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2024 at Green Fork Baptist Church with Pastors Brad Boynton and Butch Taylor officiating.

Active pallbearers include Glenn Mays, Mickey Boynton, Jason Boynton, Roy Davis, Rick Lane, and Gailyn Thompson.
