Obituary

Mrs. Betty Spires McLeod, 78, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

She was born in Telfair County, a retired Surgical Technician from Jefferson County Medical Center and was member of Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edsel McLeod, daughter, Lynn McLeod Johnson, grandson, Edsel Ricky McLeod Jr., and brother, Daniel Spires.

Viewing will be 11:00 am until 12:00 noon Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p. m. Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Deep Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating.

Survivor include her two sons, Keith (Connie) and Ricky (Pattie) McLeod all of Millen; a sister, Javene Barnes of Pell City, AL; grandchildren, Amber Lynn Greenway (T. J.), Brandon McLeod, and Derek McLeod; great grandchildren, Natalie McLeod, Rowland McLeod, Brylie Ann Greenway, River McLeod, Brodie Lynn Greenway, Hance McLeod, Brinlee Greenway, Callie Ann McLeod, and Braelynn Mae Greenway.
