Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jean Durden Edenfield, 79, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Ogeechee Hospice in Statesboro after a long illness.
She was born in Candler County, a retired Administration Manager for Jockey International, and a member of the Millen Baptist Church.
BB was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking for her family and working in her flower beds. She and her husband loved camping in the mountains with B13 and Ellen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Estelle Waye Durden; 2 sisters, Lillian P. Flesher, Eddie B. Hurst and 2 brothers, Eddie Durden Jr. and Leo Durden.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Millen Cemetery with Rev. David Wheeler, Dr. Maurice Crowder, and Rev. Perry Hearn officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jimmie O. Edenfield; 2 daughters, Vikki (Ronnie) Womack of Swainsboro and Kim (Robert) Boatright of Millen; her brother, Don (Frances) Durden Sr. of Pembroke; a sister-in-law, Katie E. Lewis of Millen; grandchildren, Ron (Stacey) Womack of Guyton, Amber (John) Burk of Pooler, Tyler (Christi) Womack of Swainsboro, Blake (Danielle) Gay of Waynesboro, Hope, Lillian and Lindy Hurst III; great grandchildren, Cade and Cal Womack, Briley and Kinsley Womack, and Addie Grace Gay.
