Mrs. Betty Strickland Clifton, age 91, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at her residence following a long illness.

She was born in Jenkins County, a retired seamstress for Thompson Company, and was a member of the Millen United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty seven years, Elza Irvin Clifton; 2 sons, Ronnie I. Clifton and Roger C. Clifton; and a daughter, Suzette Morris.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Sunday at the Millen Cemetery with Rev. David Daus officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Edward) Quattlebaum of Fayetteville; two sons, Larry (Wanda) Clifton of Millen and Johnny (Frances) Clifton of Pineora; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons.

Visitation will be from 1:45 pm until 2:30 pm Sunday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
