Betty Jewel Royal Bolton, age 86, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the home of her granddaughter, Ashley Fail, in Statesboro, GA.

She was born in Millen, Georgia on September 3, 1937 to the late Franklin Royal and Janie Williams Royal.  Betty was a retired insurance agent for AIG.  She also worked at Vogtle, The Vanity Box, Stephens IGA, and Jockey International.  She was a member of Millen Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd T. Bolton, Sr.; her parents, Frank and Janie Williams Royal; two brothers, Charles F. Royal, Sr. and Henry Lee Royal; one sister, Mary Louise R. Bragg; four half-sisters, Eunice R. McRand Bragg, Eloise R. Wells, Bernice R. Burke Cox, and Peggie R. Lane; and one grandson, Andrew Wesley Bolton, Sr.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 1:00 in Millen Cemetery with Rev. Tim Fields officiating.

Betty leaves behind a son, Floyd T. Bolton, Jr. (Maria) of TN; grandson, Brett T. Bolton (Sarah) (GGchildren Nolan and Amelia) of IL; granddaughter, Erin A. Bolton (Levi)(GGchild Wesley); and granddaughter, Courtney Heathman-Brown (Derek)(GGchildren Ashtyn and Mattie) all of TN.

Also a daughter, Cindy Bolton McBride (Joey); granddaughter, Danielle M. Davis (Mason) (GGchildren Rowen, Finley, Everlee, and Tatum); and a grandson, Jonathon E. McBride all of Millen.

And a daughter, Rhonda Bolton Jones of IN; granddaughter, Ashley N. Fail (Jessie) of Statesboro; grandsons, Kurt K. Bailey, Jr. of Millen, and Bradie A. Johnson of Statesboro; granddaughter, Shea Jones (Kendall); and grandson, Peyton K. Jones (Megan) (GGchild Kolton) all of IN, step-GGrandchildren, Tyler-James, Dalton and Zackary.

Her Sister and brother, Royce R. Rhinehart Of Millen and Larry Royal (Cheryl) of Augusta.
