Bertha Hammock Landing, age 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 5, 2023.

She was born in Girard, was retired after 40 years as a seamstress for Jockey International, and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Theo Hammock; sister, Alice Thompson; brothers, Walter "Bud" Hammock, Joe Hammock, Jimmy Hammock, and Mitchell Lamb.

Survivors include her husband, James Landing of Millen; 3 sons, Tony Flakes(Gwen),  Timothy Flakes(Tina),  and Cecil Flakes all of Millen; a sister, Angeline Skinner of Sylvania; 2 brothers, Talmadge Hammock of CA, and Robert Hammock of Sardis; and 5 grandchildren, Timmy, Crystal, T. J., Eli and Amy; 8 great grandchildren.

A Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Crowe-Fields Funeral Home of Millen, GA is in charge of arrangements.
