Ben R. Lane, 78, died Monday, April 15 in Wilkesboro, NC.

He was born in Jenkins County, a U S Army veteran a retired auto dealership warranty specialist and a Baptist

He was preceded in death by his parents, O. C. and Soujette Lane, two sisters, Arlene Hartley and Martha Gregory, three brothers, C. J. Lane, Toby Lane and Gene Lane.

Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday at the Millen Cemetery with Rev. Tim Fields officiating. Visitation will follw the service.

Survivors include his daughter, Melany Bowen of Statesboro, Granddaughter: Mary Bowen Partain (Chad) of Statesboro, Grandson: Vance Durden Bowen (Sarah) and newborn great grandson Roy Wilder Bowen of Twin City; his  brother, Robert Lane (Jerri) of Savannah;  several cousins, nephews and great nieces and nephews including John Lane and special friend, Helen Blackburn.
