Twin City, Ga. – Belinda McBride Boatright passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at her residence in Twin City after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at the Twin City United Methodist Church with the Revs. Rick Holt and Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home in Millen.
Mrs. Boatright was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Tommie R and Sadie Johnson McBride. She was a hairdresser for almost fifty years. She loved being in her shop and being with her customers. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to the beach. Mrs. Boatright was a member of Eastern Star and a member of the Twin City United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John L. Boatright; two daughters, Crystal Jones (Craig) and Jamie Lambert (Mike); three grandchildren, Jerica Scott, Janna Scott, and Sadie Lambert; one brother, Tom McBride (Ramona) of Hagan, GA; one niece, Valerie Tippins(Clay), of Hagan, GA; one nephew, Derrick McBride (Jill), of Claxton, GA; three step-children, Richard Boatright, Kevin Boatright (Becky), and Sonya Johnson (Ricky); and three step-grandchildren, Brandon Johnson, Dylan Boatright, and Blake Boatright.
Pallbearers are Cliff Kennedy, John Wayne Bussell, Ricky Clifton, Derrick McBride, Clay Tippins, and Gene McBride.
