Aurelia Ann "ReAnn" Brinson Black, age 80, of Millen, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on October 2, 2026. Born on February 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Otis Brinson and Annie Laurie Brinson.
ReAnn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose life was marked by faith, service, and love for others. She shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Frank Alton (F.A.) Black, and was a constant source of strength, compassion, and encouragement to her family and all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Rose Mayes, Juel B. Waters, Coree J. Brinson, Gibb O. Brinson, and Caroline B. Clifton.
She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Alton (F.A.) Black; her children, Dennis (Rose) Small and Laurie (Jet) Wilson; her stepchildren, Fab Black (Pam), Starr Clark (Wendell), and April McLean (Avery); her grandchildren, Ashton Sherrod (Levontae), Bailee Knight (Jake), Ellis Sherrod (Ashtin), and Karlee Small; ten step-grandchildren; her great-grandchildren, A'Laya Hall and Josey Hall; and twelve step-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
In her early years, ReAnn worked as a switchboard operator for BellSouth before beginning a long and successful career as an insurance agent with Farm Bureau, where she worked faithfully until her retirement.
Faith was the cornerstone of ReAnn's life. She was a dedicated member of Millen United Methodist Church for many years, where she joyfully sang in the choir and was an active part of the kitchen crew, serving others with a generous and willing spirit. In her later years, she became a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church, where she was deeply loved by the church staff and congregation.
ReAnn had a true servant's heart and found great fulfillment in caring for others. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who always put the needs of those she loved before her own. In recent years, she faithfully cared for F.A. as his health declined, selflessly sacrificing her time and energy to ensure he was cared for with dignity and love.
Known affectionately as "ReRe" by her grandchildren, she found happiness in life's simple pleasures, especially playing the piano in her home, enjoying games of bridge with friends, and preparing meals for family and loved ones. She was known as a wonderful cook, a caring neighbor, and a person whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy, and the love she shared with them will remain a treasured part of her legacy.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Emma Newton and George Fisher, whose love, care, and support were a tremendous blessing to both ReAnn and F.A.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Millen Cemetery on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation with the family will take place at the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fair Haven Church, P O Box 1096, Millen, GA 30442.
Though she will be greatly missed, ReAnn leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, compassion, and unwavering love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
