Obituary

Mrs. Ann Dwelle Boyer, age 76, went home to be with her Savior and heavenly family on February 6, 2017. A beloved mother, grandmother and sister, her love for the Lord was evident in the life she lived each day.

A Native of Millen, GA, she was born on April 8, 1940, to the late Eugene Bates and Marie Wilson Dwelle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Frances Lee Boyer and her son, Forrest Chandler Boyer.

She was a member of the Scarboro Baptist Church, where she served as pianist for over fifty years.

She was a life long educator and retired from Jenkins County School System, where she received the Star Teacher Award numerous times. Ann poured her heart and soul into her students and they were richly blessed by her dedication and the relationship they shared.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Marie Thomas (Rob) of Hockessin, DE; grandchildren, Forrest, Ashley Ann, and Chandler Thomas; two sisters, Jean D. Cowart (Phil) of Millen and Sandra D. Skelton (Norman) of Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.

Active Pallbearers will be Jim Deal, Jason Long, Josh Pinson, Hoke Reeves, Mike Reeves, Matthew Rocker, Brooke Skelton and Jet Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of the Scarboro Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the fellowship hall of Millen Baptist Church followed by the funeral at 2:30. Interment will follow in the Millen Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions if so desired, may be made to the Scarboro Baptist Church of American Cancer Society.
