Mr. Anderson "Andy" Hodges, 89, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edna Bland Hodges.

Andy was born in Jenkins County, a U. S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, owner of Hodges Department Store, and was a member of the Millen Lions Club for 57 years. He was a member of the 8 O'clock Coffee Club and also a member of the Millen United Methodist Church where he was active in the Beulah Garner Sunday School Class.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the Millen Cemetery with Rev. Bernie Khaw officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Dwelle, Buddy and Wayne Rabitsch, members of the Millen Lions Club and the Eight O'clock Coffee Club.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Sammy) Tostensen of Brunswick; a son, Andy (Pam) Hodges, Jr. of Dacula; four grandchildren, Stacy Hodges (Robert) Brown, Brianna Hodges (Dr. Craig) McCready, Sam Tostensen, and Tad Tostensen and two great grandchildren, Kathryn and Madison Brown.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home.
