Albert O'Brien Linder, Sr., age 87 died Monday, March 10, 2014 at Bethany Nursing Center.
He was born in Chatham County, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, a retired conductor for Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 40 years, and a member of the Soloman Lodge F&AM and Millen United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Methodist Men, the Beaulah Garner Sunday School Class, and the Golden Oldies.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Linder and Pearl Altland.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a. m. Wednesday at Millen United Methodist Church with Rev. David Willette officiating. Burial will follow in the Millen Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marjorie Tuten Linder; 2 sons, Brien (Cindy) Linder of Millen and Dan (Vilma) Linder of Dearing; his grandchildren, Daniel Linder, Josh Linder, Mary Elizabeth Linder, Jamie Linder (Jacob) Wilkinson, Seth Linder, Inderia Martinez and Gianni Marconi; and several great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Linder, Josh Linder, Seth Linder, Gianni Marconi, Jacob Wilkinson, Bob Newsome, Wiley Booker, Jody Bowers, and Mike Head.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. Tuesday at Crowe-Fields Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
