Mrs. Agnes Kirkendohl Lane of Milledgeville, formerly of Millen, entered into rest Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Pruitthealth-Toomsboro.

Mrs. Lane was born on August 3, 1924 in Norwood, Georgia. She graduated from Waynesboro High School and attended business school in Augusta, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William P. Kirkendohl and Mattie Melton Kirkendohl. She spent most of her life in Millen, Georgia where she was a homemaker and sales clerk at Hodges Department Store. She was an active member of Hardwick Baptist Church. While in Millen she was a member of West Millen Baptist Church, and prior to that a member of Rosemary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, and Girls Auxiliary leader. Her love for God and family always came first.

Survivors include her son, John R. Lane, Jr., DMD (Cissy) of Milledgeville and her grandson, John H. Lane of Atlanta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Lane, Sr.; her brother, Lee Roy Kirkendohl; and her sister, Gladys Rhodes Jenkins.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Millen Cemetery with the Rev. Andy Allen and Matt Brinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM also at Millen Cemetery.
